400 Reasons Why...

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue league, adopt a cat west palm beachSome people think that all an animal shelter does is put a dog or a cat in a cage and wait for a new owner to magically appear. For Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, preparing an animal for adoption is a serious and detailed process.

On average, the League spends $400 to get every animal we receive ready for a new forever home. This includes vaccinations, testing, spay/neuter, and microchip. Plus you have the daily care, feeding, training and enrichment of the animal. This doesn't include our outreach and marketing efforts to raise awareness of the fine animals who come through our doors.

How can we invest so much money into one animal when our most expensive adoption fee is $95? We are able to do this because of the tremendous support we receive from our donors.

It's important to us and we know it's important to you as well. The support we receive also allows us to run adoption, vaccination, and microchip specials.

The numbers show that it's working. More than 96% of our adoptions are successful, which is better than the national average.

Every adoption begins with your support. Will you make a donation or pass on this post to a friend to ensure that we continue to offer our animals the highest level of care, quality, and compassion? We have 400 reasons why it's a worthy investment.
