Better Than An Early Bird Special

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue Leauge, Senior to Senior Program, Free dog and cat adoptions for Senior Citizens West Palm Beach
Hi I'm Dixie
Are you over the age of 55? Then you should check out Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League's Senior to Senior program. It sees those who are older than 55 years able to adopt a dog or cat, who is older than 5 years, for free. The only thing you have to pay for is the county rabies tag.

As with any adoption, we'll work with you to find the right match. For instance, puppies are very cute but they also require a lot of energy and training.  Are you able to make that investment? An older animal may be much better suited to your lifestyle.

I'm as Precious as my name.
Research shows that having a pet helps people lead healthier lives, and the benefits are many: companionship, lowered blood pressure, stress relief, and a sense of purpose and responsibility.

We think animals are so important to keep our seniors citizens healthy and happy, we’ll pick up the tab! We also know that many older animals have a hard time finding new forever homes. The Senior to Senior program is truly a win-win for us.

You can call me Sylis
Dixie, Precious, and Sylis are just some of our animals who qualify for the program. Why don't you start your search for the perfect dog or cat through our website? All of our animal profiles are designed to give you a good idea about the animal's personality and behavior.

We love our seniors... four and two legged. Let's work together to find you your new family member.

In other news, we we so happy to receive a very large donation of dog food from the supermarket, El Bodegon. Click the video below to find out more.

We Salute Our Patriots

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Pets for Patriots, Adopt a dog, West Palm Beach, Adopt a Cat West Palm Beach
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is proud to be part of the Pets for Patriots program. It allows current and former members of our armed forces the chance to adopt an animal for a reduced amount.

To get started in this process, apply online at PetsForPatriots.org. You'll be asked to provide a copy of your military ID or DD214.

You can then come to our shelter, find your new best friend (2 years or older), and present us with your Pets for Patriots member confirmation letter.

We then send your adoption information to Pets for Patriots and they in turn send you a gift card for more than $100 for PetSmart or PETCO.

Please help us spread the word about this program that helps our animals and those who have served our country.

Enrichment!

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Adopt a dog Jupiter, adopt a cat Jupiter
The needs of our animals go beyond the physical. Sure, we're proud that we offer all of our dogs and cats medical exams, provide vaccinations, treat any problems, and perform spay and neuter surgeries.

But we're also aware that we need to attend to our animal's psychological needs. In addition to mental stimulation, we make sure that our dogs and cats are able to overcome any fear or less than charming behavior they may have developed.

Our volunteers play a key role in this process. Walking a dog or playing with a cat are just a few tasks that can make a huge difference in an animal's life. Their help is especially important during this time of year when so many animals enter our shelter.

So if you're looking for your new best friend, know that he or she has been cared for very well. Adopting a dog, cat, puppy, or kitten means a lot as, ultimately, a shelter is a poor substitute for a loving home. Adoption matters. And along the way, you might experience some enrichment of your own.

Is Something Missing?

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, adopt your new best friend
It's the kind of thing that makes you love going home. When you open the front door, you're greeted by unleashed excitement. And no matter what kind of day you've had, you suddenly feel better. It's as if you've just taken a shower of love.

This memorable moment is brought to you by a cat, dog, kitten, or puppy.

Last year, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League helped 3,263 animals find new homes. Each received the second chance they needed and the loving family they deserve.

Along the way we provided vaccinations, medical care, food, shelter, spay/neuter surgeries, exercise, and if needed, special training. The animals can stay as long as they need with us. Most find new families after about 35 days.

But we have to admit that a shelter is a poor substitute for a home. That's where you come in.

This is the time of year when we have the most animals looking for homes. We need loving families for them.

Start by visiting the adoption area of our website. Then come in and meet with one of our Adoption Coordinators. We take this process seriously and will work with you to find the perfect match.

And maybe a few days later, you'll realize that something had been missing from your life.

Please share this message with your friends and family.
