Picture Perfect - Thanks to You

We want to remember every moment from the 2013 Walk for the Animals. But as you know, with a walk, a pet wash, contests, a silent auction, and much more, there's lot happening.

That's where you can help us. If during the event, you see something that makes you laugh, smile, or cry tears of joy, take a picture of it with your smartphone.

Then we want you to share the picture through services like Instagram, Twitter, Flickr, and checkin on Foursquare. Here's the important bit.... tag the photos with the hashtag: #walkwithpeggy

We Think This Is Exciting

We usually don't talk much about our office furniture but this is a special case.

The picture to the right shows our new Greeter station. It's just arrived and you'll soon see it in the lobby of the Grace Pavilion.

As you know, our Greeter (a volunteer position) is the first person you see when you enter our facility. He or she can talk to you about our services, point you to our adoption areas, as well as serve as a "Smile Ambassador" for our organization.

Our Greeters are good at multitasking and sometimes they'll help our administrative team with things like putting together our event invitations.

We would not be the organization that we are without the help of our greeters. So perhaps you can understand why a new chair and podium gets us so excited.


While all of our animals are beautiful, sometimes they need a little help. Watch the video below to find out how.

Our Publicity Hound magazine gives your dog or cat the chance to feel like a rock star, while also helping the animals in our shelter.

 

For 39 years, the Publicity Hound has been the hot takeaway from our annual Christmas Ball, which is attended by more than 325 of our prominent and long time supporters.

Why? The glossy publication gives them chance to showcase their pets through photography.  It's the ultimate four-legged celebration.
