A Dog Named Olivia

Olivia
Olivia arrived at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League as the scared victim of an animal hoarder. She had a damaged hip joint and legs full of BBs after being shot repeatedly and abused. In order to repair this cruelty and neglect, Olivia needed extensive surgery.

Because of her medical problems and the high cost of surgery, many people were afraid to adopt her. We couldn't let her medical needs keep us from providing her with a happy future. During an adoption event, with the help of friends like you, we were able to go the extra mile to save her life.

Julia
In honor of Olivia, we set up a special fund to help give a second chance to dogs and cats with medical and behavioral issues that can be fixed with surgery, special medical treatment or training. Naturally, we decided to call it "Olivia's Fund."

Julia was one of the first animals to get help from Olivia's Fund. She suffered from a bone defect in her leg that needed surgery. With the help of Olivia's Fund, Julia was taken to a local orthopedic specialist for her life-changing surgery. After eight months of recovery with one of our volunteer foster families, Julia was adopted into a wonderful, caring home. Julia's life was saved.

Olivia's Fund is just one of the ways we care for the animals in our community. It's our commitment to you that we will create a community where 100% of our adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens find loving homes. Through this link, you can show your support for our mission right now.
