Ike and Denali came to our shelter as a pair.
Eventually, the Siberian Huskies found new homes. Unfortunately, they couldn’t
be adopted together.
Still, John, who adopted Ike, wanted to stay in touch
with the family that adopted Denali. Recently he was contacted by them with an
opportunity.
Denali’s owners had fallen on challenging times and wondered if
John would be willing to adopt the dog from them.
John and his wife, Jodie,
decided they couldn’t pass up this opportunity. A dog meetup was soon scheduled. Would Ike and Denali remember one another?
Within seconds, John and Jodie knew the made the right choice.
Lorie said, “There was not a dry eye in the house,” at the explosion of joy they witnessed when they the two 7 year olds once again had the chance to play with one another.
